Opatija has 12,000 inhabitants and 33 hotels with
4,500 beds, representing an etire tourist venue of
various hotel categories. Swimming polls, saunas,

Savoy Hotel was completely
renovated by July of 2004, and therefore it was categorized
as a 4 star hotel. The reconstruction of Savoy was being
closely monitored by the Croatian Ministry of Culture
due to the fact that it is considered to be a very important
cultural monument.
